I just realized...

IT'S NOT ZELDA'S TWENTY-FIFTH ANNIVERSARY ANYMORE!

Well... there goes the best year in Legend of Zelda history. The year that Zelda fans were showered with gifts. The year the epicness known as Skyward Sword was released. The year we got a new Zelda game, Four Swords Anniversary, for free.

...Well, at least we've still got one thing to look forward to: The Symphony of the Goddesses!
If you don't recall (or didn't watch E3 this year), it was announced in June that a symphony playing Zelda songs would go on tour in 2012.

It's now 2012, and they've announced some dates and places for us.

...AND ONE THEM IS IN MY STATE.

HOLY FREAKING HYLIA.

I'd been so concerned that they wouldn't come down here again - to the southwestern U.S., I mean. I was sure that I was doomed, and I'd missed my only chance in Los Angeles. After all, that's not too far away, but... something came up that weekend... or something like that... don't really remember... XD

And now, I just bought my ticket. I'm going. Unless some tragedy happens, I'm destined to go to this thing like Link was destined to defeat Ganon.

...Although considering the new official timeline has a third split resulting from Link's death in OoT, maybe that's not the best analogy...

You can find all the dates and times here, and tickets are on sale at ticketmaster.com. Oh, gods, I'm so excited! Hmm... maybe I should start working in my Zelda cosplay again. If I can finish it in time, I could totally wear it there. :D

I'm planning on writing a full Skyward Sword review soon, but right now I'm feeling lazy. But I really want to talk about my opinions on the game in detail, and a review is a great way to do that. Oh, and I should probably talk about Hyrule Historia soon, too...

Skyward Sword: Happy American Release Date!!!

IT. IS. ACTUALLY. HERE.

Holy Goddesses. I'm in shock. I woke up this morning... and realized...

IT'S THE TWENTIETH!

SKYWARD SWORD COMES OUT TODAY!

...Unfortunately, GameStop doesn't open until 10. So I have a bit of time to waste. I thought I'd come and update this blog and say... what a wonderful day in Zelda history this is!

You're probably not going to hear from me for a while (not that THAT'S unusual anymore). I'm planning on spending the whole day in front of the television screen with a golden Wiimote in my hand and epic Legend of Zelda music blasting from the speakers. To say that I am ecstatic would be an understatement. I'm even beyond ebullient. Gods. I've waited for this day for two years. TWO. YEARS. ...That's pretty much how long this blog has been going for!

Man, why did it have to be a Sunday? I wanted Friday. That was the most agonizing Saturday I've ever lived through. *jealous of Europeans*

I've updated the header (as though having a bright blue blob at the top of the screen with Zelda playing the harp wasn't noticable) just for this lovely day. I'm too lazy to make a poll, so just let me know what you think in the comments.

So... I think that's pretty much it. See you guys! Enjoy Skyward Sword!

(Hey, here's something random and slightly amusing. If you look at my labels, the only game with more than Skyward Sword is Ocarina of Time, and even then it's only ONE more - 29 versus 28. And I haven't even played Skyward Sword yet.)

I have a new favorite video. (New Skyward Sword "Lyre" Trailer!)

So, I haven't posted in a while... and I've missed quite a lot of Skyward Sword videos. But now I've returned... WITH THIS!

AND IT IS THE BEST THING I'VE SEEN IN MY WHOLE LIFE!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously. I am in love. And I think Skyward Sword is going to be my new favorite Zelda game.

...Okay, so I said that with Spirit Tracks too, but that's because I was a n00b back then. And just for the record, Spirit Tracks IS pretty good; just not my favorite.

Now let's talk about the video. Before I begin tearing it apart and pointing out the things I notice as I usually do, I'm just going to mention that I have officially received my first top-rated comment on YouTube (at least, as far as I know). And it was on this video. XD Seriously! Go to the link (haha) above, and look at the top comment! It's by me: TwilightWakerofTime! I said we shoud feed dislikers to Link's bird. Apparently people actually thought that was clever or something. It's probably not going to stay top-rated for very long... but it did for a little while, and that's enough for me. Yay! :D

...I think it's just because I was the second commenter, but whatever. The early loftwing gets the worm!

ALL RIGHT! So... observations. To summarize this video, harps and lyres are apparently the same thing, Link's facial expressions are incredible, Zelda's just plain awesome, Miss Sheikah decides to reappear, Ghirahim tries be evil and summons twilighty-magic-barrier-things, Fi dances and pretty sparkles form, and... Miyamoto is epic. Gods. I can't wait for November 20th. I nearly cried watching this when I realized it was only October. The only good news is that there are only 28 days left! ...Yeah, I put numbers on my calendar counting down the days until Skyward Sword's release... I'm a nerd, okay...?

The video begins with Zelda playing her "lyre". No one is entirely clear on whether it's called a lyre or a harp. As most of you probably know, I actually play harp in real life. Harps (or at least the ones I've played) typically are rather large (with the exception of lap harps, which are the cutest little instruments ever) and sit in front of the harpist as they play. According to Wikipedia, a lyre is small and is carried with the player. Therefore, Zelda's instrument is a lyre.

...But wouldn't Medli's instrument be a lyre too, then? And Sheik's? I've heard both of those called harps before.

...Anyway...

Zelda plays her lyre/harp. And I HAVE to learn that song. It's apparently called the Goddess' Song... I will learn it on harp! After Link walks in and Zelda shows off her lyre/harp a bit more, we finally get some new footage. Link comes up a staircase into some stone area at 0:32. Zelda's there too, with her lyre/harp. When their gazes meet, they start running towards one another, only to be stopped by... *dramatic pause* GHIRAHIM! Supposedly, he's going to be the main villain of Skyward Sword.

Now here's the interesting part. If you pause around 0:35, we get a farther-out view of this scene. if you look closely next to Zelda on the left side of the video... you can see someone with her. Obviously there's no way to be certain, but I'm 99% convinced that that's our girl from previous trailers (one of which can be seen here; the woman appears at 0:34). Most speculate that she is a Sheikah, due to the Sheikan eye symbol on her clothes. She's kind of far away in this shot... but I swear that's her! It's got to be! I mean, in THIS trailer (which also came out yesterday), you can see her fighting Ghirahim. For her to be helping Zelda not only supports the idea that she could be that figure in this trailer, but also that she's a Sheikah, since the Sheikah are supposed to protect the Royal Family.

Next, at 0:37, Ghirahim creates some kind of weird wall of magic. See, THIS is the reason I thought he was a Twili when I first saw him in the March GDC trailer. Doesn't that look like the Twilight magic that Zant and Ganondorf use in Twilight Princess?

Ghirahim effectively blocks Link off from Zelda, but since Zelda's too awesome for that. She uses some kind of magic - perhaps the "holy power" that Ghirahim mentions that she has in previous videos - to send Link her lovely lyre/harp. That pose, right there, with her holding the glowing lyre/harp above her head... it's just fantastic. I want that as my signature of Wizard101Central. I just don't think I can render that...

Around 0:53, you see Zelda again. Behind her is the point of interest, though; it's something I forgot to point out in my last observation post. Many people think the thing behind her looks like the Twilight mirror. I doubt that's what it actually is, but you never know!

Then it skips to another scene, where we discover that Fi, Link's partner in this game, can fly around and spink and make sparkles AND walk on walls all at the same time. It's actually really cool to watch.

At 1:02 Link plays the lyre/harp that Zelda gave him. Apparently it does something. ...Or maybe it does nothing. Whatever.

We zoom out a bit to see the area, and discover that the Goddess statue from Skyloft is in this place, too. Then Fi flies up and explodes into shininess, which rains down on Link as he plays the lyre/harp some more. Amazingly, the background transforms into whiteness, and suddenly Link is playing in the sky, with various Loftwings flying around him. Sweetness!

1:25. Link and Fi appear to be in Skyloft yet again. Link, yet again, has the lyre/harp out, and he appears to be making the ground glow or something. If you watch Fi at this point... I have no idea what she's doing. Maybe she's singing? That's kind of what it looks like.

Link dives off the cliff and flies on his Loftwing at 1:30. Like we haven't seen that before.

Finally... my favorite point of the video!!! OMG, I don't know WHAT it is about this... but I think Link is just adorable at 1:39. Forget Young Link. Or Toon Link. Skyward Sword Link's facial expressions are just... beautiful. They're really realistic, yet exaggerated. This Link is DEFINITELY some kind of combination of Twilight Princess and The Wind Waker - and it's a PERFECT mix! I'm loving the graphics more and more every day.

Fi spins some more and makes more sparkles, and then the lyre/harp floats down in front of Link (who is still really awesome).

That's all there is in the video! The end.

...This is probably just some terrible wall of text that no one cares about. It's probably hard to read, too... as far as sentence fluency and flow, I mean. I didn't exactly re-read any of it...

Well, it doesn't matter. Please enjoy the video! Remember, Skyward Sword comes out November 18th in Europe, Novebmer 20th in North America! I can't wait!!!

Holy Din! (NEW SKYWARD SWORD VIDEOS AND INFO)

Zelda fans have been anticipating this for weeks, and now it's finally here. I just conveniently failed to mention it until now... because I've been neglecting my poor blog. I'm sorry, fans of Medli's Messages (if there's any of you).

GameInformer revealed a TON of new Skyward Sword information. And I MEAN... a ton. So much that I didn't even read through all of it.

First, we've got two wonderful videos, which are by FAR the easiest things to post.

This first video is one of four exclusive ones that GameInformer will be giving us. I was most interested in the music... fully orchestrated!

Phi also calls Link "Master", which was cute and creepy at the same time, if that's possible. XD

THIS video excited me even more than the last one did! This... just wow. LOTS of new stuff in here. Let's see how much of the interesting points I can mention in one post...

First noteworthy things I spotted? 0:35 - It seems like even diving will be using the MotionPlus in this game. They really implemented it in every aspect of the game. It's great!

At 0:40, we see that Link has learned some new moves as he literally hops over the monsters head to strike him from behind. This is, in fact, the same enemy (or at least similar to) that we saw in the GDC 2011 trailer in March. Like last time, Link can cut up his shield in any way he wants with the wonderful Wii MotionPlus.

Let's see... there's some kind of desert area, and of course more of the forest area we saw in Skyward Sword's first demo and trailer. Then, around 1:19, here's something new: With his sword, Link can draw symbols on some kind of... board thing that possessed the crest of the Hyrulean family without the Triforce - the bird-wing symbol we've been seeing everywhere in this game. He draws a heart, which causes Recovery Hearts to be spat out for healing. Very cool.

The bird-wing symbol is seen at 1:27 again as Link uses the Sword Beam ability - something I didn't see utilized very often in the demos, so I'm glad to witness it again - and it apparently works as some kind of switch.

Now, this part's awesome. 1:30 - DOUBLE CLAWSHOTS! Double Clawshots were the last items you obtained in Twilight Princess, and they were VERY fun. I'm ecstatic to see them return in Skyward Sword.

1:37 - Yet another new item. This time it's some kind of... hose? I can't tell if that's water or just air coming out of it. Many fans are guessing that it is the Gust Jar from The Minish Cap. (In all honesty, it reminds me more of F.L.U.D.D. from Super Mario Sunshine, but what do I know?)

At 1:43, Link's just using the bow, which isn't necessarily anything special... but then we zoom out and see his location. A pirate ship? Or... at least a ship of some sort!

1:55 is some more shots of the Beetle and it's incredible abilities of dropping bombs. And 2:07 is a switch that changes the room. For some reason, it makes me think of the Stone Tower Temple from Majora's Mask, with all that room flipping...

2:12 - Mine cart riding! Like in the Minish Cap! Epic!!!!

Finally, at 2:15, we see a glimpse of the Siren World (or is it Silent World? I've seen it spelled both ways... it's confusing me. XD). Some kind of Poe spots Link, and alerts the ominous "Guardians" of this alternate world. Link apparently has no sword in this area, and the Guardians are great, hulking monsters. Another interesting things to note is what Link looks like... he's glowing. I don't know why, but he is. And he changes colors when the Guardians chase him...

The Bug Catching Net that first appeared in A Link to the Past shows itself around 2:30, and right after that, we see some kind of potion guy, who apparently will make potions with these bugs, from what I understood. I mean, I don't speak Japanese, so I just have the video to go off of... (Poor butterfly...)

After, at 2:41 - BEEDLE! Beedle appeared first in... The Wind Waker, I believe, though he was also in Phantom Hourglass, The Minish Cap, and Spirit Tracks. This incarnation of his looks more like his Spirit Tracks version, since he seems to ride in some kind of flying machine, much like he rode in a hot air balloon in ST.

2:51 - Link uses a cool feature of Phi (A.K.A. The Skyward Sword). I'm not sure what the official name for it is (I've forgotten... sorry!) but I know he can use it to find items burried in the ground, or apparently, even Zelda herself. He then uses "Digging Mitts" which bare resemblence to The Minish Cap's Mole Mitts to dig up the items.

At 3:00, some kind of clock thingy causes a giant Sand Palace to rise out of the ground. Right afterward, Link enounters some kind of... statue... thingy... that glows magically and spins him around and takes him somewhere... I think...

3:14 - We see some bird-riding gameplay, with some mini-game where Link aims at targets. And then... ooh! Is that the giant whale that swallowed Zelda in the E3 2011 trailer? I don't know, but it seems to be kind of boss. There's another boss right after it... with tentacles or something... and then a cutscene with Link and Zelda in Skyloft (why is he bowing? WHY? She's not a princess!)... then Ghirahim and Zelda... and the fire boss thingy... and a fuzzy boss...

And then... the best part of the whole video.

4:19 - EPIC SWORD SPINING POSE FROM TWILIGHT PRINCESS!!!!

I am very happy. Just because that... is in Skyward Sword. That just made my day.

...Well, that's it! Can you tell that I rushed at the end? XD I have to go to bed - I've got a long day tomorrow.

There's also a video on Four Swords DSi, which I might comment on tomorrow, but I haven't time right now...

Skyward Sword's Box Art

Wow... two epic Skyward Sword news posts in a ROW. Well, now the two things I really wanted to know about the upcoming Zelda game are out. Should I keep following the Zelda fansites? I don't want TOO many spoilers. I already told myself that I wouldn't be checking any of the fansites between November 18th and November 20th so that I can't read the whole plot of the game and ruin it for me before it comes out in America.

...Meh, of COURSE I'm going to keep following Zelda news. That's like asking if I'm not going to eat anymore. (Not quite... but close, right? It's a pretty creative comparison, considering I'm just dying from excitement right now and can't focus on much else.)

Here we go: Skyward Sword's box art!

As you may have noticed, there's more than just box art up there! For the increased price of $69.99, you can get a special edtion Skyward Sword bundle. This includes not only the game, but the golden Wii remote we saw at E3 this year, which has the Wii MotionPlus built within it, and a CD featuring songs from the upcoming Zelda symphony concerts. A pretty epic deal.

So now, rather than paying $49.99 like any sane person would, I'm going to dig out an extra $20 and get that CD and remote. ...Well, I guess sane people could still buy the offer, if they didn't have Wii MotionPlus. But I bought that earlier, specifically for Skyward Sword. Now I'll have no use for it at all...

Whatever. SPECIAL EDITION PACKS FTW!

Reminder: November 20th is Skyward Sword's American release date! Oh, how will we stand to wait?!?

(Random: I changed the header! How is it? I probably should put up a poll like always, but I'm too lazy...)

Skyward Sword's Release Dates!

Wonderful news! Skyward Sword's release date, at LONG last, has been revealed!!! (Both my affiliates beat me to posting this, but whatever. :P)

United States - November 20th

Europe - November 18th

Lucky Europeans... not only do you all get it two days earlier than us, but you ALSO get it on a FRIDAY! You'll have the whole weekend to play it!

Do you think if I ordered Skyward Sword online from Europe, it would arrive here on the 18th? XD On second thought, I already have it preordered at GameStop, darn it.

Speaking of GameStop, they were surprisingly close with their release date prediction. I was hoping that they'd be proven wrong when the real release date came out, since they kept telling people Skyward Sword would come out "November 25th" when they had no proof whatsoever to back up this ridiculous notion. But they were only a few days off - less than a week.

I'm just disappointed it's not coming out in September. That's my birthday month. Wouldn't it be epic to get Skyward Sword for my birthday?

Oh, I have a random comment: Skyward Sword comes out on Mexican Revolution Day. No, really. I looked at my calender and that's what it said. Who knew? (Besides Mexicans...)

Anyway... that's all I have to say! I think. There WAS more, but Skyward Sword's release date pushed everything out of my mind, haha. (Something about Link's Awakening I think. ...OH! I found a useless glitch in the Wind Fish's Egg! That was it! XD)

One last thing: After logging on today, Blogger told me that Medli's Messages was popular, and "popular blogs make money" off of ads. I'm not putting any ads (at least not yet? XD) but I wanted to point out that Google thinks this blog is popular. WHY ARE YOU PEOPLE VIEWING MY BLOG? I don't mind... BUT STILL?! (I mean, 21 Followers, yet it's "more popular" than the 60+ Followed Sierra's Story? HOW?)

The Legend of Zelda to be released on 3DS eShop

Today, Nintendo posted on their 3DS's Facebook page about a new price-cut for the 3DS. And I noticed it without Zelda Dungeon's help. I'm so proud of myself. :D

However, the price-cut to $169.99 isn't the important part (although I'm sure many of you that couldn't afford Ocarina of Time 3D earlier are excited about that). It's what the people who already have a 3DS (like me) are going to receive. Since we're apparently their most loyal customers (I felt quite loved and finally appreciated after reading that statement), we're going to receive 20 free new games! Half of them will be released early to us, and the other half are only EXCLUSIVELY for this offer. The best part? One of them happens to be The Legend of Zelda, the very first game in the series. It's one of the ones released early, so later on, even you with the price-cut 3DS's will be able to buy it.

For current 3DS owners, all you need to do is connect to the eShop before August 11th. Later they'll give us the games somehow.

I'm excited, even though I already have The Legend of Zelda for Virtual Console on Wii (and still haven't completed it, but whatever... I'm in Ganon's Castle and I already have the Silver Arrow, so I'm pretty close...).

Monday, June 20, 2011

I am now a proud owner of Ocarina of Time 3DS.

...But I still can't play it. Because I still don't have a 3DS.

Fortunately, there's good news! Babysitting surprisingly gave me... $66! I was NOT expecting that much! I mean, I was hopeful for $50, right? So with that money, I bought a 3DS off eBay. It's expected to come Thursday.

I still can't decide whether I should open my Ocarina of Time 3D and register it for that CD offer (which ends tonight, midnight Pacific time) or leave it. I really want that, but it's just smarter to keep the game sealed until I get my system, you know? On the other hand, I'm dying to see what a 3DS game looks like. Are they exactly like DS ones? XD Plus I'll have no way to prove that I got it on the first day it came out unless I register it right away.

...I guess I already missed my chance for that. I received the game yesterday, but I'm still debating over opening it up today.

Well, I still have the receipt. And I need to keep that receipt, because it also has my renewed preorder of Skyward Sword on it, haha.

Oh, I hope my 3DS comes soon. I'm dying to try out Ocarina of Time 3D... plus, since I bought the 3DS online instead of locally, I saved money so I also can get Link's Awakening.

That's the best part of getting a 3DS: getting one of the three Zelda games I don't have! If they remake Oracle of Seasons and Ages, my collection will be complete! ...Unless you count the CD-i games, of course. Sadly, though, I don't have that much money to spend. Seriously, go online and check out how much Link: Faces of Evil costs. And then I'd need to buy the system, too. O_o

You know what happened at GameStop while I bought Ocarina of Time 3D? Some man came in and preordered Skyward Sword next to me. He asked what its release date was, and the GameStop guy replied, "November."

Me: ...When did this happen?

You know, I probably should have actually said that instead of thinking it. But whatever.

November release for Skyward Sword does sound highly likely, despite Europe's Nintendo saying August. Honestly, I'd prefer that to an August release - I know I didn't act like it in my previous post (especially considering I mentioned I'd slap the person responsible for the typo, if it was one) but it's true. They'd have more time to prefect Skyward Sword... and I'm kind of out of money right now after buying the 3DS, so... XD

OMG! NO WAY! This is amazing. XD

LISTEN TO THE SKYWARD SWORD TRAILER BACKWARD!!!

Recognize it?

If you've played, um, pretty much ANY Zelda game save for a few... but most specifically, Ocarina of Time... then you SHOULD!

ZELDA'S LULLABY!!!!

I. Was. Amazed. :D

...And there's also a new Ocarina of Time 3DS Trailer.

BUT I STILL LOVE THE MUSIC THING!!!! XD

I mean, it's so clever, so ingenious... but at the same time, pretty cheap. Lol, they can't come up with something new? BUT I STILL LOVE IT. :P

Nintendo's probably face-palming about now. "Seriously? They didn't notice until NOW?" xD

Btw: Nintendo's E3 presentation is June 7th!

...And if anyone knows where Ganon is in the original LoZ, it'd be nice to know... but I'll write a post on that later.

Greatest Zelda Game Tournament!

Now THIS sounds interesting...

IGN is hosting a tournament here to determine the best Zelda game ever. I love the idea. But it's VERY hard to decide. XD

I still find it hilariously unfair that they put Ocarina of Time against Zelda's Adventure, and A Link to the Past against Wand of Gamelon. Honestly... who would choose those games over two of the best in the series? Who played Zelda's Adventure or Wand of Gamelon and actually LIKED them? To tell you the truth, I'm guessing most people don't even know what they are yet.

Poor, poor Faces of Evil got left out of the contest, though... aww...

They should have put it against Four Swords, which they didn't add in.

...You know, looking at it now... they've kind of set it up so that certain games will obviously fail. So, like, if you put Wind Waker vs. Twilight Princess... THAT competition might be close. But Four Swords Adventures vs. Majora's Mask? Poor FSA.

Now, since this is MY blog, I'm going to talk about MY opinions. You can skip this part if you feel like it. :P

I'll skip the OoT and ALttP ones, because it's obvious what any sane person's choices would be there, and go to the next one. Phantom Hourglass vs. Spirit Tracks. I chose Spirit Tracks. Totally. I loved Spirit Tracks sooo much, and don't view Phantom Hourglass very highly (though that's interesting, because it was my second or third Zelda game... you'd think I'd like it more, as I do Wind Waker, but no...).

After that, Majora's Mask vs. Four Swords Adventures. ...Ugh. I didn't like making that decision! I voted for Majora's Mask, since it's one of my absolute favorite games... but I feel bad for Four Swords Adventures! I liked that game too. O_o Very few people will choose it, though, probably...

Next: Oracle of Seasons vs. Oracle of Ages. Um... I haven't played either of these games. XD But I've read the manga, so my decision of Oracle of Ages was based off of that. I like the time traveling idea of it. And Nayru is cooler than Din. So HAH.

Link's Awakening vs. Minish Cap. I haven't played Link's Awakening, so I voted for Minish Cap. Although I think I might actually like Link's Awakening better. XD I DID do the VBA version for a while, remember? I got to the third dungeon. And I liked what I played that far. But... still... Minish Cap is pretty epic.

Aaaand... the last two. *sigh* Wind Waker vs. The Legend of Zelda, and Twilight Princess vs. Adventure of Link.

I HATE THEM FOR MAKING ME CHOOSE!

I can't decide. I still haven't decided yet. I think... I think I'll go choose Twilight Princess over Adventure of Link, because I'm not far enough into the game to decide... but Wind Waker and Legend of Zelda... Idk. If this had been a year ago, the choice would have been Wind Waker without any doubts or second thoughts, but lately, I've decided Wind Waker... might not be the BEST. I liked Majora's Mask better, honestly. O_o Still, it's INSANELY awesome. It might be number two. THAT'S possible.

But then you put it against Legend of Zelda... a game I've already fallen in love with even though I still can't find Dungeon Eight...

UGH!! I CAN'T DECIDE!

I love them both!

I think I'm stressing over this too much.

BUT IT'S SO HARD!

...Um... maybe I just WON'T vote. Or maybe... I'll ask my sister what she thinks. Yeah.

...Idk. XD

Well, enjoy your weekend, people. And please don't take this contest as seriously as I am. ;)

NEW SKYWARD SWORD TRAILER!

(This WAS a LoZ update... but I thought I'd take all that stuff out to devote this post entirely to the Skyward Sword video. :D)

I just went on Zelda Wiki - mostly to look up the name of the third LoZ boss... (I think it begins with an M... Mandhandla?) BUT THEN I SAW NEWS ABOUT SKYWARD SWORD!!! THERE'S A NEW TRAILER THAT WAS REVEALED TODAY!!! O:

Well, all the comments are in German, sadly, lolz. There was another upload of it in English, but I thought this one had better quality. ;) Whatever. Pause it at... 0:54 or 0:55... NEW GUY! Or at least a PERSON! I really can't tell if it's a guy or a girl. XD My sis thought it was a girl... or a gay guy... O_o

I think it looks like Vaati, minus the red eyes and wishing cap and purple outfit. But somehow I doubt it would be Vaati. They wouldn't do that to us, would they...? I wanted this to come BEFORE Minish Cap! XD

OH. And then, near the end of the video, there's that weird... thing... that teleports away! O: It's around 1:01. My sis said it looked like a Zora. I thought... TWILI! At least the way it teleported away. Unfortunately, it's probably NOT a Twili, because they came from the Dark Interlopers that... came from... Ocarina of Time... right? Maybe?

You know, now I'm not sure. I can't really remember. -.-

But now that I look at it, it DOES look like a Zora. XD

...Or maybe it's just that Vaati-lookalike again? O_o

I just noticed I'm putting a lot of smilies. It's 'cuz I'm happy. :D

Anyway. I could go on FOREVER commenting on this video. :P There's that weird... puzzle thingy? It's around 0:47. The second I saw it, I'm like, "Ooh! That looks like fun!" My sis suggested that it was the boss key! Despite how annoying that might become, I would like that. :D

OH! I JUST WATCHED IT AGAIN! And I noticed, in some of the pictures, if you look at the Wii controller on the side? On the down button... there's a picture of that E3 2009 girl's face! *gasp* It's like Midna! Except... on the down button, instead of up! Hmm. We still don't know her name. The rumor was Zordiana or something, but Idk anymore.

Now that I'm looking at stuff that isn't the graphics, I see that bar at the top of the screen with the shield next to it. Magic power? Or something else...! For instance, my sis suggested "shield power", since it has a shield next to it, but how would THAT work?

(EDIT: Ooh! And at one point in the video - also on the Wii controller part - on the up button, there's this HARP thingy! O: Sorry, can't give you the times it's at, because I'm not actually watching the video right now.)

And at 1:00 - THAT LOOKS LIKE A NEW BOSS! I bet it is! :D It looks fun, too! OMG. I can't wait for this game...

...So much for an LoZ update. XD I'm in the sixth dungeon - that's really the only important part.

Well! Still have homework! LOTS. Ugh. I have a C in one of my classes. I was going to start harp lessons this month (like Medli :D) but unfortunately, because of my grades, I'm not going to. *sob* STUPID LANGUAGE ARTS. You'd think I'd be good at it, considering I've wrote a 250 page story, but NO. I just have a terrible teacher. >.<

So...

Goodnight! Enjoy the trailer - I know I did. :P

(Random: Apparently, the first time I ever posted about Skyward Sword - when it was only titled "Zelda Wii" - was EXACTLY one year and one day ago. March 1st, 2010. XD)

LoZ Update - OMGIjustboughtthefirstZeldagameandI'mtooexcitedtoputspacesinbetweenthesewordsandYAY!

...Read the post title. If it's decipherable.

Here we are - my eleventh Zelda game: the famous Legend of Zelda. Amazingly, although it's old, it's just as fun as all the others, if not BETTER. I'm REALLY enjoying the whole "run around Hyrule without a map or any clue what to do" thing. It gives me an excuse to do nothing...

But now I can't find the second dungeon - or ANY dungeon for that matter. I didn't even find the first - my sister did. Dang it. >.< She also found the fifth for us. I found the third while I was searching for the second, but that's pretty much it. When I finally saw a dungeon after looking for FOREVER, I was like, "OMG!!!! YES! DUNGEON!" And then I went in and see "Level 3". I was pretty upset. Like... let's throw the GameCube controller across the room and switch to Wii, then throw that too.

That's another nice part... Wii controllers work with this game, too. And our GameCube controllers are stupid - one has the little rubber covering over the control stick coming off and it ANNOYS me when I play, and the other has a tendency that when you press the control stick in one way, the game thinks you're pressing that indefinitely. It happened a lot in Brawl, Ocarina of Time, and Wind Waker. It's kind of funny - characters randomly start running to the side. And then one of our other controllers (the wireless ones) decides to not turn on sometimes. So we only have ONE working GC controller. XD So Wii controllers are MUCH better.

Now... I could write a detailed description in my normal way of writing posts... or I could do it in this somewhat fun idea that I came up with. Every time we died and started over, something interesting would happen...

And I've died twenty times, even though I'm only on level one. XD Srsly. The game counts.

Luckily, I don't remember all twenty times... so let's just write about the ones that might make you laugh, 'kay?

START

Me: YAYS! NEW ZELDA GAME! Okay, let's see... start here... ooh! I know this! I played it on the Brawl demo. I'm gonna - GO IN THE CAVE! Yeah! Sword... uh-huh... now what?

Rowan (my sis): Oh! I think I know! Remember that speed run we watched on YouTube? I think I remember where the guy went for the first dungeon.

Me: Really? Where?

Rowan: Let me show you...

Me: Um, no.... *We fight over controller for a while. Since technically it's my file and I'm the one who bought the game in the first place, I win.* Just tell me where to go.

Rowan: FINE. ...Um, up. I think. Now right... up...

Me: *gets hit on screen and gasps* WHOA! LEEVERS! I HATE LEEVERS!!!! *runs around trying to kill the stupid monsters... and then a Zola pops up and hits Link, killing him*

Rowan: ...Did you just die?

Me: ...Um... yeah... maybe. I officially hate Zolas.

DEATH TWO (or something like that)

*gets sword from old man in cave*

Rowan: Remember... up... right... up... AVOID THE LEEVERS!

Me: I'm TRYING! They're kind of HARD to avoid! They pop up out of NOWHERE! As if I didn't hate them on Twilight Princess in that stupid "fix the bridge for the Goron dude" sidequest... Or outside the Spirit Temple on Ocarina of Time... Or-

Rowan: You're a little scary sometimes when you talk about LoZ. Did you know that?

Me: Yes. Yes I did.

Rowan: Oh. Good.

*Link gets killed by ANOTHER LEEVER on screen*

DEATH THREE

Me: Are you sure we're going the right way? And HOW THE HECK DO I KILL THESE PEAHATS? OR THE ZOLAS? THEY'RE INVINCIBLE!!!

Rowan: Idk. But just ignore them. Umm... go up that way, and dodge the boulders.

Me: This game would be easier if there was a shield button.

Rowan: Um... you're holding a shield, aren't you? On the game?

Me: ...OMG. Link is. What the heck? Can't he use it?

*We go up a few screens until we reach a ton of Tektites*

Me: Wow! This is farther than we've gotten before! Now, let's kill the Tektites...

*waits*

Me: ...Um, why isn't my sword working?

Rowan: SIERRA!!!! YOU FORGOT TO GET THE SWORD FROM THE OLD MAN!!!!

Me: Oh. Shoot.

*dies*

DEATH FOUR

Me: Wow. I HAVE a sword this time, we're past the Tektites... now do we go up this ladder thing?

Rowan: Um... maybe...

Me: Okay. *enters an area with a cave on the other side* IS THAT THE DUNGEON?! I hope so. Wait... *sees this blue creature thing* Woah. What is THAT? Is it a Moblin? No... it doesn't look like one...

*tries to run up and hit it... it pwns Link. With half a heart left, tries to run around it... and it throws a sword at me. Link dies*

Me: ...I was THAT. CLOSE. And I died.

SINCE WHEN DO MONSTERS HAVE SWORD BEAMS??????

DEATH FIVE

Me: You know, it's REALLY annoying how my sword is on the A button. I keep pressing B. The sword is on B in EVERY game except this one. Even in Minish Cap, where you could unequip the sword, I couldn't STAND having it on A...

Rowan: No one cares, Sierra. Now go up the stairs again and look out for that blue Centaur thingy. ...NO! DON'T START HITTING IT!!!

Me: Why not? *gets down to half a heart again* DANG! *runs past it and into cave* YEEESSSS! WE MADE IT!!! ...Wait, what is this?

*enters room with old man in center and a sword in front of him.*

Old Man: You can have this when you master it.

Me: *glares at Rowan*

Rowan: Hehe... um... I guess this isn't a dungeon after all...

Me: *face-palm*

DEATH SIX

Me: Since we really don't have any other ideas on where to go, let's get back past that area with the boulders and go by the Tektites again, and then try that little path that led away from it to the side, all right?

Rowan: Sure, go ahead.

*does so - finds an empty area with four pathways leading off*

Me: Uh... where should we go?

Rowan: Just let ME have it. *she takes the controller and goes up over and over*

Me: ...Nothing's happening... OOH!

*magic Zelda puzzle-solved theme!*

Rowan: HAH! IT'S A DUNGEON! YES! *goes inside, reads top*

Me: ...Level five? Well, that's wonderful, Rowan, but we kinda need to start at level ONE.

Rowan: Oh... oops...

Interlude - Rowan's file! XD

Me: *just coming out of shower* ...WAIT! Where the heck are you?

Rowan: SIERRA! GUESS. WHAT. I FOUND THE FIRST DUNGEON!!!

Me: ...REALLY? Hey! But I want to do it!

Rowan: I know. That's why I made my own file. It's called Pwnage. :D

Me: THIS IS MY GAME! WHO GAVE YOU PERMISSION TO DO THIS? ...Oh, whatever. Give me a turn and-

*Rowan gets pwned by Wallmaster and taken back to start*

Rowan: NO!!!! I HAVE TO get back to that room now! PLEASE? Just a few more minutes?

Me: ...Fine.

*she gets back to room, and goes into next one by avoiding the Wallmasters*

Me: *looks up from reading fanfiction on DSi* ...IS THAT THE BOSS?

Rowan: Oh. Hey. I guess it is! Now, what do I do with this boss...?

Me: OH!!! I READ A FAN FICTION ABOUT THIS! (P.S. - It's called Voiceless if you wanted to look it up, lol. It's based on the first two games and it's pretty good. :D) The author said you can just stand in this one spot and shoot sword beams at the boss, and he can't hit you but you can hit him. It's supposed to be easy... except... your hearts aren't full. How can you get sword beams?

*she dies*

Me: HAH! MY TURN!

(And yet... she goes back for sword beams and pwns the boss.)

Rowan: TRIFORCE PIECE!!!! YAY!

Me: ...I hate you.

DEATH SEVEN

Me: Okay. BOSS TIME! Aquamentus... YEAH! ...That is the first boss's name, right?

Rowan: Don't ask me. You're the Zelda expert.

Me: Haha... right... *goes into boss room* ...Um, I just noticed something!

Rowan: What?

Me: ...I don't have sword beams.

Rowan: Then just go up and hit him with your sword or something...

*I try*

Me: ...IT'S NOT WORKING!!!! LOOK! *tries stabbing Aquamentus or whatever its name is with the sword - and NOTHING HAPPENS!* I'M STUCK IN HERE WITH AN INVINCIBLE BOSS! WHAT DO I DO? WHAT DO I DO? WHAT DO I- Oh, hey. Is that door open? *goes out the door I came IN through*

Rowan: LOL. What was the point of all that?

Me: Well, every OTHER Zelda game I played, the door LOCKS when you fight the boss! How was I supposed to know? *goes a few rooms back in the dungeon, and sees a door I did not enter* Hey, Rowan? What's in there?

Rowan: Oh, Idk... I didn't go in there. Can't be important if I already defeated the boss.

Me: Well, maybe I'll get some hearts for sword beams in there. *explores a bit, does a block puzzle, and then...*

Me: ROWAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I FOUND THE BOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rowan: WHAT? ...Drat. Now I need to get that.

Me: OOH! I bet that's why you can't hit him with your sword! You're supposed to use this as a projectile! Hehe, I'm smart.

Rowan: Yeah, sure, whatever.

*I go to the equipment screen... except I can't figure out how to equip the bow*

Me: Um... HOW DO I GET TO THAT? LOOK! I'm pressing EVERY button! Z! X! Y! A! B! NOTHING WORKS! *switches to Wii controller, tries again* ...STILL NOT WORKING!

Rowan: Haha, well, I don't have the bow. Can't help you there!

(I'm running out of time, so I'll just summarize this next part. I failed epically, absolutely convinced there's something wrong with our game, even reading the instructions fifty times over... and then I realize maybe I can't use the bow because... I had no arrows?)

(Gods. Why is this so DIFFICULT for me?)

----

I'm going to stop it there. XD I went and beat the boss with sword beams, since I didn't have enough rupees to buy arrows. And now... I need the second dungeon, wherever it might be. As you can see, the majority of my deaths come from AFTER I beat the first dugeon, while I'm exploring the Leever and Zola infiltrated Hyrule. ...OMG. I want to kill all Zolas and Leevers in EXISTENCE! I HATE THEM! They're worse than the Wallmasters! Worse, I still haven't discovered a way to kill Zolas; I spent a full fifteen minutes shooting sword beams at one when it popped out of the water, and it wouldn't die. And the Leevers just seem to keep coming BACK.

...Well, whatever. Thanks for letting me write this super epic post! Good night, awesome readers!

Happy Birthday Legend of Zelda!

Hey, would you look at that? Two birthday posts in a row! Who knew Sydney's birthday was so near LoZ's? ;)

Yesterday - February 21st, 2011 - The Legend of Zelda had its 25th anniversary! EPIC! :D Isn't it weird how, here in the States, that was also President's Day? That's why when I saw it on Yahoo, I at first didn't believe it... but then I saw it on Zelda Wiki too, and two sources reporting that combined with the fact that I already knew LoZ would be turning 25 at some point this year made me believe it.

Lolz, what brought it to my attention was Yahoo, actually... When I went to check my e-mail yesterday, I went to the front page of the website as always. I occasionally look at the "Trending Now" box up there just to see if I recognize any of the stuff (usually I don't) and then I was like... "Whoa! Legend of Zelda is trending now! It's number six on the list!" So I clicked on it, and the first thing was a news post about its anniversary. Yep!

To celebrate its anniversary... well, I kinda want to post a chapter of my fanfic but I still hate the first chapter, lol. If I could skip that first chapter... then I'd be happy to post it! But otherwise... um, no. I just gotta figure out how to get Navi back into the story, since she's missing in Majora's Mask... and I want Link to have someone to talk to... either that, or I could just make Link silent like he is in the games, I guess. XD

SO, since I can't do that (technically I can, and if anyone comments and says they want to read it, I MIGHT... might... because I need feedback to make it better - I'm out of ideas) I decided on a better way.

Why not buy the game that started it all?

That's right: Legend of Zelda!

...Although my friend, Noob/Cloud/Deku thinks that would be Ocarina of Time. I was laughing so hard when he didn't know what the first Zelda game was. He listed off pretty much every game in the series - including Zelda II - and didn't get it... XD (Sorry, I shouldn't be making fun of him. He only has TP and ST.)

I keep getting off-topic. >.<

YES. I'm going to - or I WANT to - buy The Legend of Zelda. Idk if I can yet. If my sister doesn't stop playing Animal Crossing: City Folk, I can't get on the Wii Shop Channel to buy it. -.-

...Now that I think of it... can you only upload $10 or more at a time? That would be so stupid. LoZ is only $5. The rest of that money should go to Skyward Sword, not some other random game. I guess I'll buy AoL if I have to, but...

...Oh, another random fact about me? I've at least PLAYED every game in the series except Adventure of Link. XD I know virtually nothing about it beyond what I've seen on YouTube.

Well, that's it! 'Night people! :D

(Another random fact: OMG! I have no label for Legend of Zelda or Adventure of Link on this blog! There's every Zelda game except those two! That's sad. XD)

Ocarina of Time - Majora's Mask style!

I FINISHED OCARINA OF TIME AND TWILIGHT PRINCESS IN THREE DAYS!!!

No, not BOTH of them. I mean, each of them. Like, Ocarina of Time took three days, then Twilight Princess took three... well, actually, it was technically FOUR, but the first one didn't really count. We had relatives over when I was trying to do TP, so I couldn't focus on it completely.

I've been contemplating and forming this post in my head ever since I beat them both. I actually tried to post something on here about the Ocarina of Time three-day run while I was on the second day of it, in the Water Temple. That temple was just frustrating me so dang much, I took a break (actually, a LOT of breaks - I'll explain later in this post), and grabbed my DS. At first it was fan fiction catching-up that I did... but eventually I ran out of new chapters to read. So THEN I went on blogger on my DSi... and... of COURSE...

It deleted the post after I finished writing it.

*sigh* When will I learn my lesson?

Anyway, SINCE I've been thinking about this for FOREVER, it will probably be LONG. Just thought I'd warn ya. ;)

So. As I discovered after writing this entire thing, it's LONGER than long. It's GINORMOUS. So Twilight Princess will be on a separate post, 'kay? I ALSO added little dashes in between each dungeon so it's not one big, long wall of text. Now, here's my three-day run of Ocarina of Time!

----------------

I hadn't played that game in a long while - I could barely remember most of the cutscenes and so on. I don't know exactly WHY I did it - probably just out of boredom? But one morning during the Winter Break, I decided to delete my third Ocarina of Time file and start a new one. It was a difficult decision - I had all four bottles on that file! And finding those stupid Big Poes for the last bottle is HARD! ...But I did it anyway.

So, I started the game. The first dungeon, Inside the Great Deku Tree, went well... except all my nightmares of Navi started coming back. I really gotta play OoT more often. I'd forgotten how annoying that stupid fairy is. Like, when I was in that dungeon? At one point, there's this spiderweb thingy that you have to jump down on top of to break it, but when I did, it didn't break. Navi says "HEY!" when you approach the thing, so when I landed it, it bounced up and down. So every time it bounced, Navi would scream "HEY!" It ended up something like "Heyheyheyheyheyheyheyheyhey!!!" before the thing stopped bouncing...

However, this is where the really epic part comes in - after defeating Ghoma, the first boss, I didn't get the Heart Container! O: So, yeah! I completed this game in three days with three hearts and dying only three times! XD

---

Then it was to Hyrule Castle! Zelda was fun to mess with. I probably wasted the most time there. After all, it wasn't me trying to hurry through the game until I got through five dungeons in one day, impressing myself. Anyway, she doesn't even turn to look at you when you come in. Like, if Link was an assassin or something, she would be dead. XD I tried slashing at her a few times, lol. Then I shot my slingshot and the windows. One gives you a lecture and a lit bomb. The other (with Mario characters in it) gives you rupees. I think I like rupees better. My sister got annoyed by all this time I was wasting, since she was watching me and all. I talked to her at my sister's urging... but I managed to annoy her more by selecting "no" to everything Zelda said, making her repeat the same thing over and over until you choose "yes."

---

After that - second dungeon. Dodongo's Cavern. Um, Taryn watched me for part of this... but besides that, I can't remember much of it. It wasn't very exciting.

---

Third dungeon - Inside Lord Jabu-Jabu! Ummm... wasn't much in here to talk about, either. Oh, well, there was ONE thing, lol. The boss. Um, after I defeated it, I was standing a liiitttllle too close to it... so when the Heart Container appeared, it appeared ON TOP OF me! So I got it. And then I had four hearts, not three... >.<

So I turned off the game and started over. I WANTED THREE HEARTS. I wouldn't even let myself get a Heart Piece - when I did, I'd also turn it off. :P

---

After that it was... MASTER SWORD TIME! (Da-na-na-naaah!) But fiiiiirrsst... I had to do a few things as a little kid. After all, I wouldn't be able to go back until I beat Forest Temple. So, first I went and got all the bottles I could. I'd forgotten the one in Lon Lon Ranch... so I found that. And then I got Anju's Cucco's or whatever, and that ALSO gets you a bottle. Yay! Three bottles! Perfect for fairies, which are totally useful when you only have three hearts. :D

Then I wasted MORE time by going to the Happy Mask Shop. I sold the Keaton Mask. Then I got the Skull Mask, but... the Skull Kid won't talk to you to buy it unless you play Saria's Song. And I can't do THAT! That gets me a HEART PIECE!

...So that didn't work out either.

Then I watched the cutscene-type-thing where that guard is dying! I'd heard of it before, but every time I played this game, I always forget to see it! You go into the back alleys in Castle Town RIGHT before getting the Master Sword, and you'll see a guard there. Yeah. Did that...

THEN it was Master Sword time.

And the VERY first thing I did when I turned older? Did that glitch at the Temple of Time altar that temporarily ditches Navi. :P You can't do it when you're little.

---

Next dungeon - Forest Temple! You know that the Poes are named after the girls in the book Little Women? I actually OWN that book... like, permanently... but I've never read it. O_o I got lost in the Forest Temple for a while - I've always had a weakness for that place!

---

Then on to Fire Temple. This went by pretty quickly. Well, it DID, until I fell down to the first floor while trying to get the Megaton Hammer from a timed-treasure chest. IT FRUSTRATED ME! I wanted to throw something! XD

---

And that was the end of the first day! As for the second day? That's where it gets interesting. According to my Wii, I spent... about...

17 hours on it?

And you want to know why? The most annoying Zelda dungeon in HISTORY.

WATER TEMPLE!!!!

---

In reality, however, it wasn't totally 17 hours. I left the Wii running for a while, because I was so annoyed by it, while the game was paused. Second time I replayed this game, I actually thought the Water Temple wasn't too bad! And first time - I think I used a walkthrough or something. Idk. Why was it so hard THIS TIME? WHHHY?!

...Well, I KNOW why. Because I lost a stupid key. I needed one to get into the room before Dark Link - yeah, I even KNEW what room it was! - but I couldn't find the key. It took me FOREVER and a LOT a wandering to get it. And a lot of Farore's Wind usage.

This was actually the point that I wrote my post that got deleted on my DSi at. When I lost the key and couldn't find the stupid thing. I was musing on that post about Dark Link - I remembered hearing somewhere that his life depending on how many hearts you had? I have only three hearts, so...

He was REALLY easy. Comically easy. XD Even easier than the second time I played this game, and I thought he was easy then.

Well, first off, he WOULDN'T SHOW UP! I didn't know what to do in the room! It's all empty and whatever except the water and tree in the middle, right? So you're supposed to go to the other side of the room, turn around, and he's standing by the tree.

SO WHERE WAS HE WHEN I DID THAT?

I walked the length of that room like ten times before Dark Link showed up! Srsly! >.<

But from then on, it was Din's Fire, he disappears. Din's Fire, disapppear. Din's Fire, disappear. And he dies. :D Just three times. Thank you, few Heart Containers of mine.

After Dark Link, the Water Temple wasn't as bad anymore. Aside from the putting on and taking off Iron Boots that EVERYONE hates.

---

THEN it was Shadow Temple. Possibly my favorite Zelda dungeon. ...Or it WAS, until I got stuck in it, and my sister started pointing out how scary it was.

IF OoT HAD TP GRAPHICS, IT WOULD BE RATED T. And it would deserve it more than TP. IT'S SCARY! The walls in parts of the Shadow Temple are made of BONES!! Eeeek! And there's blood on the walls! And that Dead Hand... OMG... I NEVER want to see another one again...

And ReDeads...

Oh dear god, goddess, or whatever deity is up there... I hate them...

*shudder*

The only Zelda enemy to give me nightmares. And they were Wind Waker ReDeads. WIND WAKER!!!! That game that everyone thinks isn't mature enough!

Yeeahh... well... back to Shadow Temple. I got lost in the Bottom of the Well, that mini-dungeon you do when you're younger to get the Lens of Truth. The funny part? Well... I didn't know where to go, right? So I found this one room where there were holes in the ground you couldn't see. You'd need the Lens of Truth to see them. However, I didn't have that yet. I figured that by getting through the room, I'd GET the Lens of Truth. So I kept falling. And falling. And again. Again. Every time into a room with creepy green... something that I don't even WANT to know what it was... and a ReDead.

I HATE REDEADS! THEY DON'T EVEN BLOW UP! I threw, like, twenty bombs at him! And this creepy green blood come out, but he's not hurt. Nooooo. ReDeads are too GOOD to get hurt when blood squirts out.

...Like I said. Should be rated T.

Oh, and that room with the invisible holes? I got through it - WITHOUT the Lens of Truth. I used Bombchus to see if they would fall or not, and when I ran out, my Boomerang. Best I could think of. And when I finally get through it? There's no Lens of Truth. Nooo - that room was supposed to be done AFTER getting the Lens of Truth. Instead, I get... a Skulltula token.

WHAT THE HECK? I DON'T NEED SKULLTULAS! I ALREADY HAD THE GIANT'S WALLET! I don't even KNOW what you get after that... I never bothered trying to get anymore than what I needed for it.

*ahem* So. Enough of that. Shadow Temple went by pretty quickly - I DO love the eerie feeling of it. Just not the ReDeads. Or the Dead Hand. Or the blood. Or the skulls. Or the music. Or the Floormasters and Wallmasters (luckily, no wallmasters got me, but I think a Floormaster killed me once...). Yep. Besides that, though, it's awesome.

---

...That was the end of day two. Uh-huh. Finished five dungeons in, what, seven hours? And two... in sevenTEEN.

On to day three... and the Spirit Temple!

---

I think I spent too long in the Gerudo Fortress. I was having too much fun in there. OOH! And I learned where the colors of the Gerudo came from in the fan fiction, The Return! I thought the author made it up! ...Yeah. :P Didn't help, though, when I found the second-to-last captenter dude and saved him, and then accidentally got a Heart Piece. I turned it off and hadn't saved since saving the first dude. Had to find those two again.

So, Spirit Temple... did it as a little kid... umm... the conversation with Nabooru was pretty fun. Just because it gives you options as answers. I found it funny when she asks if you're one of Ganondorf's followers. The only thing is when you say, "What if I am?" (which I always do - I'm just that kind of person XD) she says something like, "No, you're too young to be one of his followers. Just kidding!"

Ugh. Why did she even ASK me in the first place, then? Hmph.

Then I went to fight an Iron Knuckle mini-boss. And guess what?

They hit exactly three hearts out of you if their sword connects...

And I only had three hearts...

EEK! IT KILLED ME IN ONE HIT!

Thank the Goddesses for fairies. :D And Young Link's tiny size! I ducked under it by holding the shield button and just started slamming B! Its sword swept right over my head because it was two stupid to try a vertical slice. So I killed it pretty quickly. :P And finally, I headed back to the Temple of Time for the Master Sword so I could complete the REST of the Spirit Temple. And another Iron Knuckle. It killed me three times, so that, with all four bottles, I only had one fairy left. And the boss fight? It's an Iron Knuckle too, or at least part of it is. And that killed me the first time, even with four fairies. >.< I tried again, but this time with my sister's BRILLIANT plan - USE NAYRU'S LOVE! That way, it won't kill me in one hit! :D

After that?

---

FINAL BOSS TIME!!!! YAAAAYYY!!!

I didn't like the cutscenes though. I wanted to hurry and complete it before the day was over. It was already really, really late at night... so I was going as fast as I could so I could say I completed it in three days. I dispelled the barrier things, and hurried through Ganondorf's Tower (and fought a few more Iron Knuckles), and theeeeennnn...

BOSS! Ganon! Yay! Almost dying... but then, I won! And I didn't die! WOOOOOOOT!

And that's my Ocarina of Time in three days over Winter Break story!

---

As I said, this wasn't a speed run, and I guarantee I could complete it in ONE day if I tried. I did a lot of unnecessary sidequests - part of the Happy Mask Shop, getting ALL FOUR BOTTLES, getting Biggoron Sword (that one took FOREVER), and all the Fairy Fountains. So I could have been quicker. :P

But that was pretty good, right? ;)

And in case you didn't get the post title, it was three days, so it was the same time as Majora's Mask... yeah... XD

Um, like I mentioned at the top, I really don't have room to describe Twilight Princess. This will be one heck of a long post if I did that. I'll put it in a SEPARATE POST! And since I have nothing better to do right now, I might as well start writing it...

So... yep! That's the new longest post ever on Medli's Messages. And boy, was it fun to write. Even if no one reads it. :) It's the result of boredom on a day off - I was sick at home today. Uh-huh.

Now... I gotta close this up...

GOOD NIGHT! :)

READ THIS EPIC ZELDA NEWS!!!! (epic for me, at least)

http://www.zeldadungeon.net/2010/10/links-awakening-confirmed-for-the-3ds-virtual-console/

Go to that link. Now.

Did you read it?

No?

WELL DO IT. It's better to get information from the source rather than me (I can exaggerate sometimes XD).

NOW did you read it?

Good. :P So... now you know: THEY'RE MAKING A LINK'S AWAKENING DX 3DS!!!!! :D Well, NOW you should know why I'm so excited. ...Maybe. If you know me well enough, lol. Let's list Zelda games I don't have, and maybe you'll see why:

Legend of Zelda
Adventure of Link
LINK'S AWAKENING
Oracle of Seasons
Oracle of Ages

Yeah. Look at the one in capital letters. :D

SO I'LL ADD ONE MORE ZELDA GAME TO MY COLLECTION!!!!! That means, as soon as I find the money to buy LoZ and AoL... and pay off the rest of Skyward Sword... I'll have EVERY ZELDA GAME ALMOST! Emphasis on the almost. *sigh* Darn Oracle games. O_o

Ummm... I guess there IS a problem. How the HECK am I going to get the money for a 3DS when I barely have enough money for SS, LoZ, AoL, a GameBoy (guess I don't need it AS much, anymore, but I can't keep Sydney's DS Lite for Minish Cap forever, and I DO need Oracle games), and whatever OTHER games I want for 3DS (such as OoT3DS and Kid Icarus: Uprising)? DOOMED. Unless I trade in my DSi. Sad thing is... I really, REALLY don't want to. I'd lose flipnotes, and my favorites list of fanfictions (lol), and internet settings, and pictures, and a lot of other things. Oh, AND the stickers on my DS. It one of those skin thingies that cover the front of the DS and the inside. They have TP Link on them. :P I bought them on Amazon with my own money, so I don't really want to get rid of them. Honestly, when I play my friend's DS's now, I think, "They look so weird without anything covering the DS!" O_o

Anyway, the point is that it's a lot harder to trade in a DSi than the DS Lite I originally had.

Soooo... Christmas list, anyone? :P But last year I asked for lots of things, and I got nothing on my list. NOTHING. ...Oh, and it was funny looking at my 2008 Christmas list (yeah, I still keep them - I type them up on the computer, after all, so the file's still there). Ocarina of Time was on there. XD Well, I guess that means I haven't had OoT for two years yet... one, but not two.

And did you know Spirit Tracks will have its first birthday in five days? Yep. I still remember the date it came out: December 7th!!! I'll probably remember Skyward Sword's release date forever, too, rofl. I guess Minish Cap manga came out today, too. :D

...GODDESSES! THE OFF-TOPICNESS!!! >.<

And yes, I just said goddesses. You can blame reading/writing Zelda fanfics. Expect me to use that often from now on. :P

Anyway, I can't wait for 3DS now. ...Unless waiting somehow miraculously gives me enough money. I will NEVER have enough money for a 3DS, most likely, but you never know. I can't wait as long as I need to for money. I want to get it the DAY IT COMES OUT. ...If it's not that, then I'll be very, very upset. XD

Anyway, I'm out. I had another post in mind - about an addiction to Twilight Princess that I still kind of have - but whatever. I want it tonight... but I made a vow to myself that I wouldn't write more than one post in a day because the first one always gets overshadowed by the second. ...I know I've broken that vow a LOT, but whatever.

'Night people!

A Very Zelda Halloween

Halloween... is, like, the bestest holiday. Um, why? Let me ask YOU a question first. Why would anyone think it ISN'T the bestest holiday?!? You get to dress up as random stuffs, whether scary or epiclatastical or pretty or different or WHATEVER you want. All my life, I've been either a princess, fairy, or some kind of... animal... thing. Like a cat. ...Or a Maril. Yeah, I was a Pokemon for Halloween once. I didn't always used to be Zelda addict - Pokemon DID come first. Deal with it. XD

HOWEVER...

This Halloween is SPECIAL. :D

The reason? If you can remember last Halloween on this blog (which you probably can't XD) then you'll know what I just so happened to dress up as. Princess Zelda. No kidding. And Sydney was Link the leprachaun (my fault for calling her that, lolz. Warning to candy-givers at houses while some kids dressed in weird Hylian costumes come up to your house: don't ask who the person in green is, or you'll get a LOT of screaming and arguing and name-calling. :P). Oh, and no one cares, but... Hunter was a Wraith from Wizard101 last year. So awesomeful! ;) Rowan was a witch; Paige was also a witch; Taryn was... some kind of devil-witch. XD I called them the Twinrova, despite the fact there were three of them. :P Mostly I was refering to Rowan and Paige, anyway, since Taryn technically called herself a Skeleton Bride.

So... this year! Some changes in our lineup of costumes... *ahem*

Last year, Sydney's Link costume wasn't from any specific game. She just had the basics: green tunic, green hat, some kind of foamy-sword thingy that was really fun to play with. :P This year, however, she's decided. She will be... MINISH LINK! So she's buying an Ezlo hat. Yayz.

Hunter won't be from Wizard101 this year - he's joining the Zelda bandwagon. :D He will be... VAATI! Hylian form, of course. Not the giant eye. XD So he'll probably have the long black/purple cloak and the wishing cap thingy. Ooh. Playing with the wishing cap will be almost as much fun as playing with Sydney's foam sword!

Me? I was pretty much a general, all-around unspecific Zelda last Halloween. I based my costume MAINLY off Ocarina of Time, though, including the designs on the bottom of the dress. However, I carried around a bow, and OoT is, like, the ONLY game Zelda DOESN'T use the bow in. O_o (Not really, you know... but all the big important ones she does. Wind Waker. Twilight Princess. ...Spirit Tracks. ST is not as important, but whatever.) Now I just might be Minish Zelda. Just because everyone ELSE is being from Minish Cap, lol. I don't want to be all lonely from OoT. If I do end up changing to Minish Zelda, I'll just PRETEND I don't have Ocarina of Time designs on my dress, PRETEND my crown is Toon Zelda's, and... ditch the bow for a shield. And then I'll give it to Sydney at the end of the day. ...Or maybe not. I LIKE shields, tyvm. Sydney didn't use one LAST year! ...Let's just PRETEND that her shield got burned up in the fire mine place. :P

Now... Rowan. I don't think Taryn and Paige will be anything Zelda-related, but Rowan most certainly will. Ever since last year, she's really wanted to be Midna from Twilight Princess. But now she'll be the only one from TP if she does do that. So she's changing again. She might be... a forest Picori/Minish, which I vote for. It would be the most ADORABLE costume ever! Like... Minishes are sooooooo cute! Other than that, she might be Young Zelda. Which would ALSO be cute! For some reason, she wants to be "all clingy," as she calls it. XD She wants to hang off my arm and act timid and cute or something. Although I still like the Picori idea, this would be an AWESOME idea, and is the one most likely to happen. Our costumes would match GREAT together - me older Zelda, her younger. Plus it'll give me an excuse to be OoT while everyone else is MC (HAH! SHIELD IS MINE!).

And that's it. *sigh* I was planning on a Minish Cap or Four Swords Adventures update tonight, but that's okay. Remember - tomorrows a holiday. Labor day, is it? Or Columbus day? Something like that. On the other hand, the blog is FINALLY back to normal, complete with an epic background courtesy of Rowan WillowLeaf (but I was the one who had to do A TON of math and so on to get the size right to repeat across the background right - darn, you CANNOT believe how much work went into that. Days. Blogger is stupid and won't accept certain sized images, and therefore we were pretty stumped for a while. I SHOULDN'T have to do math on my weekend!). Oh, AND there's an awesome new header! I made that. You can't imagine how long it took to pick out the render. I kind of wanted the Skyward Sword one, just because, well, Skyward Sword is the main focus of this blog currently, and the entire Zelda-fanverse is waiting for it. But I almost made it a Wind Waker one, with this absolutely, unbelievably awesome render of Link and these cute little pigs! :D That, or one of OoT Link playing the ocarina. SO MANY CHOICES!

Anyway. Happy Monday holiday (whatever it is), readers! As always, comment, and remember to read The Blade of Evil's Bane prologue below if you haven't already! :D

Good, bad, and useless news.

Which do ya want first: Good, bad, or pointless/useless/no-one-cares-about news?

I'll start with the... bad.

The bad news is: THERE IS NO BAD NEWS! *gasp* I wrote a post about bad news, and there isn't any! Oh, what will I do? The struggle to find something to type is killing me!

Well, bad news COULD be that I STILL won't have much time for blog posting. I haven't even been on Central lately. Or Wizard101. Or, I'm ashamed to admit, Zelda games. I've... been reading fan fiction. Yeah. Or playing Min- um, nvm. We'll get to that in the GOOD NEWS section. :D Oh, and there's still no official release date for Skyward Sword. Trust me. I'd know.

Useless news:

HUNTER THUNDERSHIELD NAMES ALL HIS ZELDA FILES DOUGH FOR SOME REASON. And then I played through Twilight Princess ('cuz all my friends fail at the Forest Temple - seriously, that was, like, the fifteenth time I've had a friend ask me to beat the temple for them! I now know it like the back of my hand - that sadly lacks a Triforce, just because you all wanted to know XD), and the light spirit called him "Heroic Dough." O_o

Good news... and luckily, in video games, there's a LOT of it right now:

I HAD MY BIRTHDAY! :D It was the sixteenth of September. Sorry, can't tell you how old I am. Who knows what freaks are reading this... *thinks of Navi and shudders* XD

Okay, okay. But you're wondering why the heck this is in a Zelda blog.

Well... my ACTUAL birthday wasn't that great. Sure, I got ice cream cake. But I did work all day. But... I got a Zelda t-shirt! It says, "Don't make me go Zelda on you!" :D

But then, my birthday PARTY was epiclatastical. All my bestest friends were there: Sydney, um... Noob? Is that what I call him now? He doesn't have a wizard. And a girl from school who neither has any Zelda games nor plays Wizard101 came. And another friend of mine who I can call either Wolf or Tnaz was there. He's the newest member of our Zelda/Pokemon/Wizard101 fan club. Members: Me, Rowan, Sydney, Hunter, Deku/Noob/WHATEVER YOU WANT TO CALL HIM, and now Tnaz. His Wizard101 character is Wolf DeathBringer. So, anyway, he is my bestest friend/enemy. Frenemy? Is that what it's called? O.o

Okay. So. I, um, kinda took up most of our four hours playing Wind Waker. O_o But, look, in all the FIVE YEARS I've had it, I've NEVER gotten to play it on the large TV in our living room! I was able to that day, and it was so epiclatastical! I wish now that I'd had a chance to try out TP on it, too. Ah, well.

Anyway, I tried playing Wind Waker. I was going to the final boss. Sydney and I switched off a lot. I mean, we wanted to see the ending with all the super epic cutscenes. However... my cutscene file got CORRUPTED, remember? >.<>.<

So, it's like, RIGHT THERE... and I can't play it. And he KNEW I couldn't play it.

Oh, my gosh, did I mention how much I hate him?

Sydney's so awesome - she let me borrow her DS Lite for a few weeks! SO I GOT TO PLAY IT! Two elements down... and no clue how to get the Water element. Sydney's no help either, dangit. O_o

Okay, and my OTHER good news.

I PREORDERED SKYWARD SWORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Yep. Just today. Me is excited. ;)

Oh, and LAST good news:

I GOT DRAGON QUEST! Nine, I think? Idk. It's Sentinels of the Starry Skies. ...'Kay, I know this is a Zelda blog, but whatever. I named my character Zelda. Does that count? XD I fully intend to make a character called Link when I get the chance. And then maybe one called Sierra. I just didn't make my main character Link 'cuz as much as I love playing as him in LoZ, I really would prefer a girl character. O_o

...Okay, I've been typing away for a half hour. This post is LONG. If you read all of this, YOU'RE THE MOST DEDICATED AND AWESOMEFULISTICALAZING READER EVER. Congratulations. Please comment, awesomefulisticalazing reader. :D

And goodnight!

Ocarina of Time 3DS!!!! *jumps for joy*

One of the best Zelda games of ALL TIME (LoZ: Ocarina of Time) is going to be remade! ...Again! Yeah, I know, they already remade it on the GameCube, and Virtual Console for Wii (which I have! XD). But now they're editing the graphics, something they hadn't done yet, and (prepare yourselves for EPICNESS) MAKING TAKING ON AND OFF IRON BOOTS EASIER! Meaning less frustration in the Water Temple, the number one hardest Zelda temple I've ever gone through! Oddly, it's much easier the second time through...

This was announced at E3 along with Skyward Sword. So why haven't I posted until now? First: well, I can't give you screenshots if I'm on my DSi, can I? Second: I was confused for a bit there. Some sources said that they were just testing out the 3DS's capabilities or something. Now I know this will be a real, ACTUAL game. Along with Starfox 64... which, now I remember, I almsot bought instead of MM! Now how weird would THAT have been? And I think some Mario game will also be remade.

What is the 3DS, you might ask? Only the newest console from Nintendo! With games... IN 3-D!!!! And Kid Icarus: Uprising is going to come out on it! That's, like, the first non-Zelda game in at least a year that I want to desperately come out quickly! And, let me repeat: it will all be in 3-D!!!

Here's the 3DS, just to get an idea of what it looks like.

Not much different from a normal DSi, huh? Besides the fact everything will be in 3-D!!!!!

Okay, now here's the epic OoT screenshots. Most are of Link on Epona in front of Hyrule field, from the intro. I hope these make you as excited as I am! Of course, I still can't wait for Skyward Sword! :)

Credit goes to IGN for the images.

SKYWARD SWORD!

I FINALLY know what the title of Zelda Wii is.

YAY! Man, it looks SO amazing. I'm going to go and make a new banner for the blog in celebration! After all, I already made myself an epic signature and avatar for W101Central. :)

And ignore my last post about the rumors. Most of them probably weren't true, anyway. STOP LYING TO ME, ZI! O.o

But here's the trailer!

Since I don't have TIME to talk about how AMAZING a game it is, I'll just let the videos do the talking... for now. But you can be sure to see a new entry coming from me soon ALL about this! :D

WOOT! 100th POST!

Guess what this post is? MY HUNDRETH POST EVER! Somehow, this blog got more posts than my other one along the way, which has only 95. Huh.

I should be making this special, probably, but I only have five minutes. :( Otherwise, I'd talk all about my map glitch stuff. Oh, and these new online RPG's based off LoZ that sound like SO much fun. I want to download them as soon as I get home.

I wish I could go to E3. I wonder where it is? Hmm, maybe I should Google that. ...I'll go do that now, with my remaining three minutes. XD
