Undiscovered Link's Awakening Song?

Later December and into the earlier days of this month, I picked up Link's Awakening again and played around with the Dog House Glitch some more. For those of you unfamiliar with this, it's a really simple glitch that's present in all versions of the game, as far as I know, including the 3DS Virtual Console. All you have to do is get behind the Dog House next to Madam MeowMeow's house at just the right position, and then head down and to the left, and then... presto! You're inside the "Karma Zone"! It's a very glitched up area containing enemies and textures that have been... corrupted or changed or something. It takes sprites from other things and puts them in the wrong places. Like, I've been attacked by a horde of evil Grandma Ulriras before that were supposed to be Ghini in a black room that was supposed to be in the third dungeon or so. And then I'll get Golden Leaves at completely random moments in here, even on  files in which I've already collected all the Golden Leaves. Oh, and the disembodied Crazy Tracy heads with swords are always fun.

I should probably write a post just on my adventures during this glitch. Hmm...

Regardless, the bottom line is that this glitch is also known as the "Karma Zone" because it changes a bit depending on how many enemies you've killed. The layout is, from a general perspective, usually the same; you almost always start off in the same room. But certain sprite swaps might be different, and new and exciting invisible walls might have formed. You never know what you'll find.

Now, I first heard about this glitch a while ago -- around the time I was on what I called my "Link's Awakening high", when pretty much every post I wrote at least MENTIONED the game -- and have been experimenting with it for a long time. My favorite rendition of the Dog House Glitch was made this one time that I was playing around on my sister's file. She's only completed the first dungeon, and I'd just collected BowWow when I decided to try this glitch, because her file doesn't have all the items, so with a little luck I was hoping I could find some higher-level items in there and maybe sequence break a little bit (in fact, one time I found the Bow in there, and then the music freaked out, but that's another story). I enjoyed it because I wasn't too trapped; sometimes you'll get Karma Zones that start you off surrounded by invisible walls and you can't even go anywhere. But no, this one was wide and open and gave me lots of freedom. Therefore, I've had a backup from this file after I killed the number of enemies that I thought made the most fun "karma zone" since January 2nd, 2013. So, recently, I decided to revisit it.

I was showing off to a friend who had played Link's Awakening but had never heard of the glitch. Then, as a started heading north and eventually ended up at the entrance to what looked like Face Shrine... a peculiar song started to play. Neither of us recognized it. I eventually got stuck and was forced to reset the glitch by returning to my save state, but with a bit of searching, I found the music again. When I got home, I made the video you see below.

I don't know about you guys, but this song sounds very, very familiar to me. I have no idea why. No one I knew that knows a thing about video games could recognize it, though. I went through the soundtrack of Link's Awakening and went over all the songs, and this tune is not in there.

But here it is, playing in the Dog House. A legitimate copy of the game from the 3DS eShop.

Link's Awakening is known for its Easter Eggs. It had three musical ones in particular that I can think of: Totaka's Song in Richard's Villa, the secret "ZELDA" song on the menu screen, and the secret "MOYSE" menu song in the German version of the game. But is it really possible that after all of this time, one song has somehow been left undiscovered? I mean, we're talking twenty-one years since the game's release. Twenty. One.

So am I missing something? I brought this up with the people at the Zelda Dungeon Wiki, and none of them recognized it, either. One of the admins said he had gone through the sound files of a Link's Awakening ROM and never seen this there before, but he said that some of the other Easter Egg songs don't show up there either.

Anyone have any ideas where it might be from?

Just to clarify about the glitch a bit here... I can get back to this at any time. As you see in the above video, I can go north every single time and take the same path to that one room, and then going either left or right starts the song playing. And that's EVERY time I go to the left or the right. Around 2:49 in the video, you'll notice me go into the right room, go to the left, and then return to the right room... and if you listen carefully, the music restarts there for some odd reason. Does that mean it's linked to the unglitched counterparts of those rooms? The one to the right is obviously a cave (I think the one connecting Ukuku Prairie to Animal Village, perhaps) and the one to the left looks like... the House by the Bay or something? Not sure. Then again, when I enter from the bottom of that left room -- the one with the bed -- the song does not start playing. I have to go to the right and then left to make it start. (Right below it is a Fairy Fountain, and that music plays instead and continues even when I'm in this bed room. But after going right and then left again, this "undiscovered" song cancels out the Fairy Fountain one.)

Unfortunately, there's not much I can do for people who are interested in hearing this song for themselves, except suggest that they explore the area that I got to. Like I said, this glitch is altered slightly depending on how many enemies you've killed, and considering that I made this save state a year ago and I wasn't really counting anyway... I have no idea what that number for this file might be. You can... try beating the first dungeon and getting to BowWow normally, and then start killing enemies one by one and testing to see if you get a similar area? XD Like I said, I had rescued BowWow at this point, which is why I've got eyeballs and Ropes and Peahats and floating tiles following me for the majority of the video...

I hope you all enjoyed that, though, and that someone can help me identify this. I am really praying that it's not actually a normal song in Link's Awakening that I just don't recognize, because that'll make me sound really silly. XD

Have a good day, everyone! But before I finish this post, I want to leave you with one other... erm.... "undiscovered" Link's Awakening song that I found one day in the Dog House glitch. It's an older video of poor quality since it was on my phone. I'd just found the Bow in that chest next to me before I was supposed to, and then... this absolutely GORGEOUS song started. I'm sure you'll love it. My favorite part is totally that one note around 1:31. I suggest you turn your volume up ALL the way so you can hear that part REALLY well.

Aren't terrifyingly deep tones, erratic drumbeats, explosion sound effects, and ear-piercing GameBoy shrieks GREAT?

(I sincerely apologize if you actually turned your volume up.)

OoT 3D - Only to Water Temple? I'm ashamed of myself.

MY 3DS CAME YESTERDAY!

And thus I didn't get on the computer at all. So I have a lot of catching up to do. The only big news I've seen so far is an announced new Legend of Zelda game for Wii U. And there's a few Ocarina of Time 3D glitches... though I have my own. Two of them, in fact. Am I glitch magnet or what?

Maybe I should be filming myself to prove that these actually happened... but I TOTALLY wasn't ready for them. Besides, both had negative effects. In the first glitch I got stuck in place and my sister wasted all my arrows trying to get out of it, and the second glitch stole 100 rupees from me and gave me an unwanted Blue Potion.

...I'm so unlucky!

Enough of that for now. I'll probably explain later in this post. For now... I want to write about what I've been doing on my lovely 3DS.

First off... I'm only in the Water Temple. I know that's sad, especially for me, self-proclaimed Zelda expert. I've been distracted by the other features on the 3DS, though. You really can't blame me! I really did dream of completing the game within the first, day, though. I really hoped to move on to the Master Quest. ...Oh, well. I guess three days it is, yet again. At least I won't spend 17 hours in the Water Temple like my last run.

I started off EXTREMELY excited. I mean... 3D Ocarina of Time! Who WOULDN'T get excited about that? I was marveling over all the little details - Saria's fairy was green now, and the fairies of the other Kokiri looked pink like the healing ones you trap in bottles. And the Great Deku Tree looked amazing!

...But when I realized it was the EXACT same game, I started getting bored. XD

I kept playing, though. I played until I left the Kokiri Forest (where in my confrontation with Saria, her fairy had randomly turned red instead of green! ...What the heck?) and got my ocarina, and went out into Hyrule Field. It was at this point I went to find my sister to tell her how insanely easy this game was (Gohma died in under 3 minutes! I didn't even have the bring her down 3 times like you normally do - only two, and I wasn't ready the first time, lol) and... she kind of took over the game...

And by took over, I mean stole my brand new system from me and started going crazy with the new controls.

After begging her not to get trapped in the cutscene with the owl (Kaepora Gaebora is more evil than Ganondorf. HE is the one we should have been using the Master Sword on!) she accidentally went into Kokiri Forest...

...where everything was covered in a strange pinkish-red glow.

You can imagine how surprised I was at this point. In fact, I was past surprised. I was freaking out. If I remember correctly, forests - especially enchanted Kokiri Forests - should not be red.

So I went back out into Hyrule Field... and everything was red there, too! No! And I immediately blamed my sister, of course. She was the one last messing with the controls... it must have been her fault.

...Well, apparently, since the 3DS is so advanced and all, sunset and sunrise actually bathes everything in a red glow. Hey, makes sense, I guess. But it thoroughly succeeded in confusing and even scaring me at first. XD

If everything suddenly turned red, you'd be, too!

Anyway. The rest of the game is fine, as well - the updated graphics are truly beautiful. I loved looking at the Great Fairy Fountain in 3D (though for the Great Fairy herself, I can't really say) and pulling out the Master Sword...... wow. Just wow. There were a few other minor changes I'd like to mention, especially in the controls, but I'll save those for a later post when I complete the entire game.

For now, let me think... what else was interesting that happened to me in Ocarina of Time 3D so far?

...Well, there are those glitches...

All right. I guess I'll talk about those.

The first one happened when I was hunting Big Poes as an adult. I'd just completed the Fire Temple, and my lack of a fourth bottle was starting to annoy me. To get the fourth bottle (the only one you can get as an adult) you need to catch all ten Big Poes in Hyrule Field (only appearing when you're on Epona) and sell them to the Poe Seller guy in Castle Town. Once you get all ten, he'll give you the bottle.

This one Poe in particular was the one that appears by the tree right outside Lon Lon Ranch. I wasted SO many arrows trying to get him - he kept getting away! And it's impossible to aim that bow in 3D, so I had to turn it off, much to my disappointment (I like the 3D effects!). I rode back and forth, trying to finally defeat that Poe with my bow. And when I FINALLY did, I was so relieved, I immediately rode up to it and dismounted Epona. I walked over to try and talk to the Poe's spirit... but instead I re-mounted Epona. Annoyed, I pressed 'A' to get off her again... but instead talked to the spirit, still on my horse.

I didn't even know that was possible. Is it possible, or was that part of the glitch?

Anyway, everything seemed normal, until I said "catch in bottle" or whatever. The in-game text showed up saying "You caught the Poe's Soul! Sell it to the guy for lots of money!" or whatever. I pressed 'A' and the text disappeared... before immediately reappearing, with the same message.

...What?

And then, when the text disappeared, I couldn't move. O_o

I could L-target (locking on to the spot where the Poe's soul previously was)! I could use my bow (and, upon showing my sister, she wasted the small remainder of my arrows while pressing every button possible to get un-stuck)! But I couldn't move!

Luckily, it was easy to fix. I could still save during this. So... I did. And then I turned it off and back on. Yay.

Still don't know what happened.

The second glitch occurred... would you believe it... within ten minutes of the last one! After turning the game back on I retrieved Epona (who was still standing in the same spot) and headed to Kakariko to buy more arrows (because I'm too lazy to look for them, and I have so many rupees it's nice to spend them every once and a while). After that, out of random boredom I went to the old woman who runs a secondary potion shop behind the main one - you know, the woman that sells you the Blue Potion? Yeah... I went in there, and talked to her...

AND MY RUPEES JUST STARTED DRAINING!

All I did was talk to her!!! That's IT! She even asked, "Ultimate Potion! 100 Rupees" or whatever! And I, still in shock that all my rupees had randomly disappeared, selected "Don't buy."

And then I got a Blue Potion. For no reason! I don't even want one - I was hunting Big Poes, remember? I need my bottles empty to put their spirits in. Worse, now I only have 53 rupees. Well, at least now I won't be throwing away the ones I happen to gain in the Water Temple.

All right, this is a long enough post. Tomorrow (or whenever I finally complete this game) I'll do a full comparison between Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo 64 (or Virtual Console on Wii, but hey, they're the same thing XD) and what I've noticed changed in Ocarina of Time 3D.

But for now... goodnight!

The EVIL Memory Card Curse!

And THAT is its official name, now. Considering the amount of damage and confusion it's causing in the video game aspects of my life, it deserves its own blog posts, instead of constant teensy-tiny mentions in previous posts.

Oh, before I go off onto a big rant, sorry about the lack of updates. *sigh* There's so much I want to say... like mentioning "Heroic Dough" (that line STILL makes me laugh! :D), my recent attempts in Phantom Hourglass, good fanfics (including my own), and so on. But... my days are too long now to keep up with much of ANYTHING anymore. Darn school/homework/swim team...

Now for the curse.

Let's list the games that have been corrupted:

Wind Waker (may that epiclatastcial cutscene file R.I.P!)

Pokemon Colloseum (I miss NightRings SOOOOO MUCH! *SOB*)

Super Smash Bros. Melee (Man, I think this game hates me or something. It just won't let me keep Young Link.)

Sonic Heroes (umm... long story)

Animal Crossing (Well, at least the people I hated are gone. Like Bubbles? We sent him death threats. XD)

Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg (Do you know how WEIRD that game is? But it's kinda fun. However, recently, my sis compared it to Ocarina of Time... and its kinda scary how alike they are in some ways. Freeing chicken elders from eggs is like awakening sages. Yeah, we compare EVERYTHING to Zelda. xD)

Yeah. How sad. All those games... lost...

BUTTTTTTTT...................................................

I have GREAT news. Kinda. Well, for SOME games its great news. For Pokemon Colloseum, Wind Waker, and Animal Corssing, it's not so much... but for Melee, it's AWESOMEFUL!

My sister decided to play Billy Hatcher for some strange reason. :P Anyway, she played through a few levels, but when she tried to save... the game said that the file was CORRUPTED! O: So she saved it to a different file. She then turned off the game and tried to play the first file again. Still corrupted. Then she took the memory card OUT... and put it back in... and guess what? SUDDENLY IT WASN'T CORRUPTED! *gasp*

Even before this, it happened with Melee. Since I was so disappointed at the loss of our file, I told my sister that I would get back Young Link if it was the last thing I did! XD So I went on to get him back... and found there was no need. No "file corrupted" message of any sort came up. The intro started as usual, the menu screen came up, and I pressed start. The game was running completely normally. Stunned, I went into Classic Mode, as I had been about to do before (you play 10 Classic or Adventure mode ten times, with Link and Zelda as two of the characters to get Young Link), and found that all our characters were still there - INCLUDING YOUNG LINK! :D

So...

yeah...

It's good.

Sometimes the corrupted message will still show up, oddly enough, but I just take it out and put it back in (and sometimes restart the game) and the characters will be there good as new! Yayes! XD

It doesn't work for Wind Waker though... or Pokemon (*SOB*), or whatever else was affected. But I think that Young Link is good enough for me right now. Even though I would DIE to get NightRings back (maybe. Or maybe I'm bluffing.)

Anyway, I gtg now. Later tonight I will post again, if I have time. Likely I won't.

Oh, today's a holiday too, right? Happy whatever-holiday-it-is! XD

In Hyrule, Epona flies, Link falls through pillars and hits invisible walls, powerful deities get stuck in hotels and postmen spontaneously disappear!

Is it weird that whenever I get bored of replaying my Zelda games sixty times over, I glitch them up? Or does everyone do that?

Okay, in the time, I shall write an intricate post on my experiences with the Map Glitch. ...Okay, on second thought, I'll write about the postman glitch first. It's shorter.

Taryn and Paige were at our house. Paige, specifically. Taryn was... doing the thing she always does. Which I never tell you purposefully. :P

I heard about a glitch where the postman on Twilight Princess runs off a cliff. I couldn't figure out how to do it though. I kept failing. O.o So eventually, I just gave up. I started running off into Hyrule Field. The postman called to me, like always. He ran toward me... AND THEN DISAPPEARED.

I screamed, I think. XD I am SUCH a wimp. But was totally not expecting that. Paige, who I had made read the Four Swords Adventures manga (she kept asking me which Links had which personality in FSA, and it was annoying me O.o), looked up. "What happened?" she asked, just as the screen turned black. O.o

Everything was running in an odd slow motion. The text box slooooowly appeared on the screen, the A button sloooowly inched up the side, and then letters slooowly appeared on screen - two at a time. Paige and I read them, adding the sounds as they appeared (Gre..eti..ng...s... Mr... Li...nk... XD). Taryn came in later, and after the postman handed me my letter and I got control of Link again, we did the entire thing over. :D

Now, another glitch. Hmm. ..OOH! I tried getting into Hyrule field... and failed epically.

This is on Wind Waker. Outside of Ganon's tower, there are these pillars you hookshot onto. If you get the right angle, you can get on top of the pillar and fly over into the field with the Deku Leaf. A while back, my sister and I tried to do this for hours... and I COULDN'T DO IT.

Now, Taryn was here. I was going to show her the Ganondorf fight, originally, but I decided that I might as well try this glitch out.

And guess what? ON MY VERY FIRST TRY, I GET ON TOP OF THE PILLAR!

I gasped, and then walked forward, anticipating an awesome flight into Hyrule Field -

AND I FELL THROUGH THE PILLAR.

That's where that part of the title came from. XD

On my FIRST. TRY. I MADE IT. After doing it for HOURS.

Later, I did it again... but then, I found a stupid INVISIBLE WALL in front of the field and flew into it with the Deku Leaf! How the heck was I supposed to get into the field IF THERE'S A WALL?!

Okay, now the other one! It's when Fierce Deity gets stuck in the Stock Pot Inn on Majora's Mask. XD Poor Linky. But we found lots of glitches in there... until I accidentally got the room key... so Anju didn't kick me out and I had to restart... O.o

Next glitch? Uh, the only one I mentioned in the title is the Map Glitch. ...I guess I'll go on with that...

Oh, hey, look at the time! I guess I can't describe how Epona flies in TP! XD Okay, I'll explain later. It's funny though. But it's a looooong story. :D

OoT Update - Usually "swordless" would be bad... but it's pretty awesome. :D

When I think about it... you can't REALLY call this an "update". In Ocarina of Time, I have two files, but both of them are on Ganondorf battle. I could talk about my quest for the bottles on my first file (my second one is SO much better: all bottles, Giant's Wallet, Biggoron sword... ooh! I just realized I don't have Ice arrows on this file yet! O: I need to get those...), but that's not exciting. So instead... I'll talk about the "Swordless Link Glitch!" :)

Um... I dont have much time... so I'll write this quickly!

There are two ways to do it in the first version... One is easy, two is harder, and I don't know how to do either of them. O.o I don't have the first version. The Wii gives you version 1.2, so I have to do a different way that's much, much more complicated and hard.

HOW TO DO IT:

First, start the boss fight with Ganondorf. After you beat him, and he turns into Ganon, then you can activate the glitch.

First, do the "Ocarina Items" glitch with anything. You do that by having a fish in a bottle, freeing the fish, then catching it again so the bottle is in Link's hand. Then do a backflip, and in mid-air press the button with the fish on it and the item you want to play as an Ocarina. If the timing is right, Link will hold the item up to his mouth and be able to play any song on it (bombs are so funny XD). If you want an enequipped Master Sword in your inventory (so that you can deactivate the glitch at any time), play the Sun's Song. You don't have to do this, because your swordlessness can easily be deactivated by going back in time.

Once you play the Sun's Song and have the Master Sword unequipped by in your inventory (if you do that part), do the Ocarina Items glitch again with anything and play any warp song. I play the Lake Hylia one (Serenade of Water) because you can get Epona there right away, but anywhere works.

So, what's this glitch good for? I mean, you can't take out your sword... what's good about that? Well, you can use items on Epona! :)

I played around in Lake Hylia for a bit, trying out a glitch I heard of that lets you get under the ice in Zora's Domain. That was fun, until I got stuck behind the waterfall. O.o

Then I headed to Lon Lon Ranch to play the Obstacle Course game. Then... I found my own glitch! Kinda. Like, it was what everyone else does... but modified.

How to do MY glitch:

First, start the Obstacle Course game in Lon Lon Ranch. Instead of going forward to jump the fences when the game starts, turn around and go the other way instead. At the first fence you go across, go to the side of it so that it's in front of you vertically, and then walk into is verrry slowly. If you get the right angle, Epona will go up on it, and be halfway in the ground. It's weird. XD Then, take out the Ocarina on Epona (since you need the Swordless Link glitch) to fall through her. Then, press B to go back, and use the bow. An annoying sound will come through your speakers (same sound when you do Fierce Diety glitches on MM O.o). To stop it, use a bottle. You can run around and Epona will stay at an angle in the ground with the camera fixed on her while Link runs away in the background. :P

Note: You don't have to get Epona at an angle: it's just funnier. XD

I also experimented with the Map Glitch some more on Twilight Princess, but that's annoying story - a hilarious one. XD

TP Update - Back in Time Glitch!

Yeah, this isn't Twilight Princess, but on Spirit Tracks, I GOT ALL THE HEART CONTAINERS! YAY! I was so so so happy. It is officially my first game I ever got ALL the Heart Containers on. Yes!

Now... Back in Time...

It was AWESOME! And it happened by complete accident!

A little while ago, I tried this glitch on my main file, the first one I completed. However, I could NOT do it on there. I tried so many times, and failed every one of them. So I gave up, deciding that my new, boring "Link" file that was still in Ordon would EVENTUALLY make it there, and I'd do it.

My dream came true!

Link is no longer in Ordon. In fact, he's in the Temple of Time. But I didn't get there until I did Arbiter's Grounds (and Snowpeak), of course! That's where this glitch started.

I began the glitch, doing exactly what you're suppose to do: Run into that annoying little quicksand hole, fall in, and press home menu and reset the game just as Link is going under. Timing is VERY important on this glitch. And I could not get the timing right. O.o Besides, I thought that this might mess up your file. Arbiter's Grounds is pretty far, so I was reluctant to destroy this file (then again, if I started it over, I could make a walkthrough! :D). I pressed on anyway.

It didn't work. -.-

Finally, I gave up, deciding I'd just go through the stage like you're suppose to. I went along, hookshotted that wall, jumped across those platforms, ignored the worm things that jump out of the sand (they're ANNOYING!), and hurried across the quicksand to that cahin-switch.

Here is where it REALLY began. I totally forgot that you're suppose to hookshot the chain to bring it toward you, THEN pull. So I went in the quicksand. I start sinking, but I grab the switch and try to pull, hoping I can make it back to the platform with it. Then, everything gets worse: two of those little mini-Skeleton guys pop out of the sand and start stabbing me! I'm sinking quickly, and I have no choice. I let go of the switch and desperately try to make it back tothe platform. I didn't make it.

Frustrated, I watch as Link starts to go under the quicksand, the Skeleton guys still surrounding me. Grr... I hate those guys...

Partially because of anger, partially because I didn't want to lose a heart, and partially (but a VERY small amount) because I was hoping the glitch might work, I reset the game.

As you can guess, the Back in Time glitch activated.

I was on the bridge of Eldin: no hearts, no items, NOTHING. From what I have read on YouTube and such, you end up here because you restarted the game as your sprite is loading up, so you find yourself in the title screen. Yes!

Stunned, I rushed to find my sister making some weird signature for some person. I bring her into the room and I start filming this entire spectacle. Maybe one day I'll post it on here.

After my sister and I debated on what we should do, I jumped off the edge of the bridge. When I respawned, I found myself on the bridge again. I only had three hearts, like at the beginning of the game, and only one was left. My items were all gone too: I only had my sword remaining.

I jumped off again, receiving a "GAME OVER." :( Then, when I started up again, I was STILL on the Bridge of Eldin, but this time, a cutscene began! It was the King Bulbin cutscene, from when I had to rescue Colin. Epona rode up, but Link was not on her back. It stared at above her for a while, where I'm guessing it was showing Link. Then the cutscene proceeds on, and then, when it ends, I'm back on the bridge still. I try to get out for a little, until a bulbin from across the bridge charges at me. O.o I jump off to escape.

Now when I come back, I'm on Epona! Yay! Now I can pwn King Bulbin! I do so (failing a few times on the Eldin showdown - I've never been good at this, and with only three hearts, it's HARD) and see the epic pose again! YAY!

Then, for some really, really, REALLY strange reason, the cutscene where Colin wakes up begins: AND WE'RE IN THE TWILIGHT REALM.

Umm... okay... weird...

The music kind of sounded funny, too, creepy twilight music overlapping the peaceful song that is SUPPOSE to come with the cutscene.

It ends, and guess what? I'M STILL IN TWILIGHT! And I'm LINK! Not any stupid wolf! Even better: MIDNA'S GONE! YES!

The light spirit isn't there; I checked. I ran off to try and blow up that one house. It was the only place that I could remember some of the Tears of Light were at.

When I arrived, I found, to my dismay, that the house was ALREADY blown up! Aww! Oddly, though, it seemed like there was an invisible wall surrounding the house, so I couldn't get to the tears. I crawled in through the entry that Wolf Link is suppose to go through, ending up in a fully built house. Weird... so I set the thing on fire, the bugs run around, the house starts blowing up - and Midna THEN decides to come back, informing me that she's... leaving me again. To die, this time. Ugh. My partner is SO useless in this game. xD

I start to head out the little Wolf Link hole again, but my sister commands me to go out the door instead. So I listen.

I wish SO much that I hadn't.

My game froze up! I was stuck in this REALLY weird place that was, like, in the sky. I couldn't see Link anywhere. It was all twilight still. I couldn't skip it - I tried MANY times.

So... yeah... that ended our reign of fun. :(

THANKS A LOT, ROWAN!

Flying Epona Glitch!

Okay. So, I'm really lazy today, and, again, I don't have much time. So instead of repeating the entire glitch all over again, I'm going to use the bestest thing ever created on the keyboard - CTRL + C and CTRL + V!

This is my post on the "glitch thread" on Legend of Zelda.com.

"Ooh... this thread is awesome! :D

Well, my sister and I found one on Majora's Mask the other day.

1. Set the Ocarina of Time to one of your C items, and remember which one it is.

2. Save on Epona at one of the owl statues (I've only tried it at Milk Road, but I assume it works other places as well).

3. Turn back on the game, and you can now use any item that you have set to C on your horse, but if you pause it will stop, so you can't switch items!

4. Take out the Ocarina. You can play a song or don't, doesn't matter. When you stop playing the Ocarina though, Link will be standing in air and you will be looking at everything from Epona's angle.

5. Run around a bit. You're now playing as Epona, and you can pretty much leave Link standing there and run away. However, you can't leave any areas.

6. To get out of this, just press A as if you were going faster and Link will be back on Epona. When doing the glitch though, don't Z-Target the statue. You will go back to Link's point of view which is fine, but don't shoot arrows at the statue. You won't be able to get out of the glitch otherwise.

Also, if you do it at Milk Road...

1. Save on Epona and have your Ocarina set somewhere, and then go into the Gorman Ranch area right by the save area.

2. Now you can play the Ocarina, control Epona, blah blah blah...

3. Lead Epona toward the place that you would usually leave Gorman ranch at. If you can get her in there at the right angle, Epona will keep running through the trees and fall into the sky.

4. Eventually you'll land somewhere in the sky. There's a big grey square beneath you. You can gallop around or whatever, but invisible walls are boxing you in. No time passes down here, either, oddly enough.

5. When you want to get out of it, press A and Link will come back to Epona and you will die, ending up back in the Gorman ranch on your horse.

This also works if you put on the Giant's Mask, but then you can't get out of it, and you'll be permanently stuck like that unless you restart the game.

Also, it seems like it doesn't work if you get off your horse in Milk Road, so you have to get on Epona in Termina Field, then run in here, THEN save.

So don't do anything important before this, lol, in case you have to reset. And sorry for the long glitch. I have more, but... this post is really long, lol... so unless someone ACTUALLY reads this, I'm not going to bother putting up my others."

Heh heh... nice, huh?

You can do kind of the same thing to become Feirce Deity, actually. Go into Gorman Ranch, and instead of the Ocarina set, have Feirce Deity Mask. Race the Gorman brothers for ten Rupees, and then put on the Feirce Deity Mask immeadiately. After a full minute of sitting there, frozen on your horse with your bow out, the most annoying sound coming through the speakers, the Gorman brothers will finish the race and you will be Feirce Deity.

Oh, yeah. We did that, and had SO much fun. I filmed it LOTS of times, but we kept messing up by saying each other's real names. I'm going on Windows Movie Maker tonight to hopefully take those parts out and keep the fun parts in! :D

MM Update - MORE Feirce Deity Fun! Yayz!

I knew how much EVERYONE loved my Feirce Deity Fun post (okay, no one read it, lol), so I made another one!

This is continuing my old one. So... where was I..?

Oh, right! Defeating the BIGGEST BADDEST BOSS (ah, I love that).

So, yeah, I did... and yeah, I saw the ending, with Anju and Kafei getting married, and the postman coming back, and Skull Kid saying something about recognizing me from OoT (weird!), and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember... And Saria's Song at the end...

I turned off the Wii then. I had to actually get off for the day (I can stay up reeeealy late playing any LoZ game), so I didn't know that I now had Feirce Deity mask wherever I went. :D But I did, next time I came on.

This is where the REAL fun begins.

Guess what? I found my first ever glitch on my own! Okay, well, Row Row (Rowan... heh, I have a new nickname for her) was there to help me. And the only reason we discovered it was because we were trying to do the Feirce Deity outside boss battles glitch, but I was an idiot and took out the Ocarina instead...

Still, it's our biggest acheivment yet.

Anyway, guess what the glitch does? First, it makes you become your horse, Epona, and run away from Link. :P Second, you can make Epona fly. Yes, folks, I said FLY.

It's a long description, and I'm currently on my DSi now... tommorrow, I'll talk about it. That, and my Feirce Deity fun in Clock Town. xD Yeah, I said Clock Town - as in, the place you can't be Feirce Deity in legitimately, and aren't suppose to go into when you aren't legitimately Feirce Deity... yeah, we kinda ignored the “DON'T GO IN CLOCK TOWN!!!” warnings that are all over YouTube...

More on that later. Anyway, for now... that's it!

MM Update - SUCCESS!

Did I say Twinmold was hard? Just kidding! Honestly... it's easy once you have Chateau Romani on your side!

I had some friends over yesterday. One of them is a little girl that takes piano lessons at our house, and the other is her brother. Both are younger than me. However, I still enjoy younger kids, for some reason. I mean, Sydney's younger than me, and she's, what, my best friend!

Annnnnnyway....

Well, the girl's brother (Noob, if you read my "this might be helpful" or whatever page thingy) came in to watch me play Majora's Mask. To get him excited, I told him I was going to fight the "BIG BAD BOSS!" (Dun dun dun!) I drank my good ol' Chateau Romani, and then he got in trouble for some reason and had to do something before he could watch me fight the BIG BAD BOSS! (and yes, I know I'm being vague. That's purposeful. xD) However, he made me promise that I'd still let him watch the BIG BAD BOSS! (I'll always write it like that :P)

Disappointed, I went into the boss room anyway and played around in the area above the swirling vortex of doom that begins the fight. First, I decided to test if my magic power really was unlimited. Though Rowan continuously promised it was, I did a couple Spin Attacks to check. Then I randomly began shooting Light Arrows, pleased that I had infinite magic power. However, I didn't have infinite arrows, so I began to run out, so I stopped.

Then, utterly bored, I took out my hookshot and started shooting in random directions. Then I noticed the chest above the boss's vortex, and grinned as I realized I could hookshot it. Despite my sister's pleading to wait for our friend, I shot at it and fell into the boss fight. I put on my Giant's Mask, and considered fighting, but my sister kept telling me to wait. So, reluctantly I took off the mask and played Song of Soaring to go back to the entrance.

This time, I waited outside the boss chamber, and guess what? A glitch happened! Those flying pots that spin around and try to attack you got stuck in a corner on the ceiling! I tried everything to get it down - Hookshot, arrows, LIGHT arrows, Komaro's Mask (danced for it xD), Circus Leader's Mask (cried for it), Bremen Mask (marched), Bunny Hood (okay, I always wear this, lol), and everything else I could think of.

Then the guy came back in, and I finally fought the BIG BAD BOSS.

And won!

So... then I did the Kafei and Anju sidequest, and now I OFFICIALLY HAVE ALL THE MASKS IN THE GAME (except Fierce Diety Mask :( )!!!!!!!

Yay. So, today, I'm going to fight the BIGGEST, BADDEST BOSS OF ALL TIME... Majora's Mask! :D (Well, except for maybe Gannon, he's probably worse... maybe...)

TP Update - Temple of Time/My poor, broken Dominian Rod

Okay, everyone! So, I haven't been using this blog much. You've most likely noticed. If you've been watching, that is, lol. Anyway, from now on I will give updates at the parts I'm at on my Zelda games! Yay! I know, you're all so excited. The first one is on The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

Well, just the other day I finished the Temple of Time level in Twilight Princess to obtain another shard of the Mirror of Twilight. And it was hysterical! Actually, the only reason I've been playing this recently is because on Wizard101 I have to defeat impossibly difficult spiders that are ice and in Dragonspyre! So, to get away from the spiders, I caught up on my file of TP (because I've actually never beat it, even though I paid for three quarters of it! Only Rowan has, and she didn't show me all the cutscenes. :( ) Anyway, when I got into the Temple, I first realized that I could spin my sword after every lizard-thing I defeat! So, I vowed to Rowan that I would do that after every monster (LOL!). So, I had plenty of fun with that, until we encountered a glitch! One of the lizard things kept running into this weird, invisible wall! Then Rowan took control of it so I could film it on my phone. She turned into a wolf to play with him, then he jumped out of the invisible wall and attacked her! She ruined it!

Then I went into the middle of that same room with the glitch, and I was stunned. There were hundreds of MINI SPIDERS. And to think that I had gone on TP to get AWAY from them! UGH! I killed them as revenge for their cousins on Wizard101 that I simply could not beat.

But the boss was worse: IT WAS A GIANT SPIDER, WITH A CREEPY RED EYE ON IT'S BACK! I was terrified! But I PWNED it. After a hilarious cutscene, that is. Link spun his sword, but then had this so funny look on his face, and then the EYE was still there! Rowan and I laughed at that.

When I exited the temple (going back to my own time) Occoco (or whatever) told me I'd used up all the Dominian Rod's ( the item for this stage) power. And when I tried it, it was totally broken! WAHHH! And worse, Rowan couldn't remember how to fix it! So, I'm stuck there. Right now I just followed the scent of a statue. It led to the cat of Telma, the bar lady person, and he/she said that there were some dogs or something that had stolen it. Then I had to get off.

ROFL, read my other post I'm going to put up in a second.

Best Pokemon Platinum Glitch EVER!

Though Legend of Zelda are my favorite games ever, I also like so many other things. Pokemon is one of them. I have Pokemon Pearl for DS, but my sister has Pokemon Platinum. My sis is sooo lucky... she competed in these Pokemon championships. Sure, she lost, but at least she was there.

Anyway, this is hilarious. When my sister first started the game, she caught a level 3 Starly, as most do, and named it Starz. But unlike most people, she left it in the PC and never used it. For no apparent reason, she decided to check on it yesterday.

She looked, and gasped. This Starly wasn't a worthless level 3 anymore... it was level 30!

She checked to see if there was any error with the typing or something. When she looked at it, it said "Met at Level 3". And, better yet, it knew Aerial Ace! She hadn't taught it that!

And the glitch continued. Today she just looked, and it is still level 30. Awesome! I'm calling this.... The Mysterious Leveling Glitch.
